What We’re Working On Wednesday: Kitchen Faucets

Well…seems like summer is over.  My chickens have been back in school now for two whole days, so I guess it’s official.  Boo!  I am so grateful though for a wonderful school that makes it easy to go back.  When kiddos are excited about a new year, then it must be good, right?  I hope you all had a fantastic summer break.

4th and 8th grade…say what???

I made a quick trip to Dallas yesterday to work on a few things for an incredible kitchen remodel we are planning .  I am super super excited about this one…encaustic tile backsplash, reclaimed white pine cabinets, exposed copper conduit…its going to be so fabulous!  One thing still to source is the kitchen faucet and that was tops on my list yesterday.

Made my first stop at Waterworks.  I’ve had a major crush on Henry for the last two years and I couldn’t wait to see him in person.  And he did not disappoint.  I mean seriously…look at him!

I’m not sure exactly what it is, I think its just his simplicity with out being too “anything”…not too industrial, not too showy, not too fancy and definitely NOT an egomaniac!  Because who needs that from your kitchen faucet, right?  Goodness, just hush and provide water and look great while doing it.  Thanks.

After I said my goodbyes to Henry, I made my way over to Westside Kitchen & Bath.  I’ve worked with these guys for a couple of years now and if you need anything plumbing or hardware related, they are an excellent source.  Bless Scott’s heart.  I know he wants to kill me most of the time.

Was hoping to see this lovely option in person, but no luck. I’m fairly familiar with Rocky Mountain Hardware and I am mad over their finishes.  They are hands down my favorite.  This faucet option is rather perfect as well.  Again, not too anything.  Just really good design.

Another option that I think could work nicely is this one from Newport Brass.  A bit more traditional in style, but still clean-lined.  The polished nickel finish is very pretty.

And finally, this one from Herbeau.  Yes, it’s rather “frenchy” (duh, they are from France) but they have a bit of edgy-ness to them that makes them cool.  I am particularly fond of the wall mounted version.

So there you have it…a few of our favorite facuets.  Don’t even get us started on unlacquered brass.  It’s so hot right now and we LOVE it!

Hope you all have a Wonderful Wednesday!
